This summer, President Obama announced plans to strengthen fuel efficiency and carbon pollution standards for passenger cars and trucks to 54.5 miles per gallon in 2025.
Later this year, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will finalize these vehicle efficiency and pollution standards.
But not if the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has its way… Over 400 auto dealers are scheduled to fly to Washington over the next few days to push Congress to delay the new standards for at least a year.
Ask your members of Congress to support strong fuel efficiency and pollution standards, and say NO to NADA.
While all the organizations participating in the Save Our Environment Action Center share the common goal of
protecting the environment, individual groups can, and sometimes do, differ in their approaches to specific issues.
