Shell Oil has already sent a massive drilling rig to the Arctic in preparation for their risky plan to drill in Arctic waters for the first time ever.
We've seen the damage a spill can do in places like the Gulf where experienced cleanup experts are nearby and efforts are not hampered by frigid temperatures. And we all remember the tragedy of the Exxon Valdez spill off Alaska. Opening the pristine Arctic waters for drilling could be a death sentence for precious Arctic wildlife.
President Obama is expected to make a decision on Shell's final "Permit to Drill" any day now. Urge him to stand strong against Big Oil and stop Shell's reckless drilling scheme before it starts.
